Minted creates beautifully printed cards and wedding suites as it serves as a marketplace for independent artists to create detailed art. Users alter the stock text to their personalized information. However, their tinkering options on the customizer are limited and often requests are left to help adjust their products to their liking

​

Design Associates help make sure the requests are fulfilled while also adhering to optimal printing standards. 

 

Common requests include:

• Adjusting the typography in case there is hidden text. Solutions include shrinking text, leading or kerning

• Reviewing the typography and making sure it is consistent throughout wedding suites ( invitations, RSVP and detail cards, etc)

• Modifying type so it adheres to the minimum font size for optimal print 

• Proofreading the text and checking for stock text

• Recoloring artwork to the customer's requests

• Checking photo quality for optimal print quality and any as-needed
  color recorrecting 

• Reviewing customer's requests and changes so they follow Minted's guidelines

 

In this example:

• The bride's name was likely shrunk so the whole name is visible; now inconsistent with the groom's name

• The casing throughout the invitation is inconsistent

• The leading is inconsistent

It's important to fulfill the customer's request to the best of our abilities while also honoring the original artist's artwork and assets. In this role, I've learned how to better problem solve and find creative ways to best fulfill the customer's requests​.
